We Asked ChatGPT to Plan The Best Road Trip Ever
Our field guide writer’s job might be in trouble! We asked the viral new AI chatbot, ChatGPT, to plan the best road trip ever in the northeast, and we have to say, it did a pretty good job. The bot has been getting a lot of press in the new year for its ability to generate content, answer questions, and provide a vast amount of resources in a way that mimics human conversation and chatting via IM. It’s a powerful tool, and what better way to put it to the test than with a request for a Vanish-approved itinerary?
We’ve put together dozens of itineraries since we started Vanish in 2021 — some specific to certain states or regions, others themed around a concept — but we’ve never tried to make the itinerary to end all itineraries: The Best Road Trip Ever. It was a tall order, but Chat GPT lived up to the hype. Read through our AI-generated road trip itinerary below, and let us know if you’d embark on the adventure yourself.
