Located just an hour from our Austin, TX pickup location, Pedernales Falls State Park is an ultra-quick getaway for nature lovers with something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a dip or paddle in the often-tranquil river, some biking or hiking, or even horseback riding, you’ll find it here.

Note: Horseback riding trails are currently closed, but check the Pedernales Falls State Park website for updates on reopening.

 

Spider Mountain

Spider Mountain boasts a sick bike park with one of the most scenic chairlifts you’ll find in the US. Don’t get intimidated by some of the cool-looking features of this park, though, since newcomers are welcome, too. Spider Mountain has a whole host of trails and lessons for those learning to ride. If you’re traveling light, no worries — they also offer affordable bike rentals.
